Our Year 3’s Roman Day whisked us back in time for a thrilling adventure into ancient history! From the moment the day began, the classroom buzzed with excitement. We got their hands messy baking traditional Roman spelt bread 🥖, discovering the simple yet powerful foods that helped fuel an empire. Budding historians then showed off their creativity by designing eye‑catching posters bursting with fascinating facts about daily Roman life.![]()

The grand finale was another exciting opportunity: we crafted our own mighty Roman shields and took to the playground, marching in formation like a fearsome legion. Laughter, learning and lots of imagination filled the air as we truly stepped into Roman sandals. 🛡️![]()

It was an unforgettable day of discovery that brought the power and spirit of Rome vividly to life! ✨

Our Year 5 children had a fantastic visit to the Islamic Exhibition in Birmingham yesterday!![]()

They showed great curiosity and respect as they explored and deepened their understanding of Islam. The children learned so much through engaging displays and discussions, and asked some brilliant questions along the way! 💡![]()

🐷🐄🚜 Young Carers Farm Experience 🐷🐄🚜![]()
Our young carers enjoyed a wonderful visit to Oak Farm yesterday, spending the day exploring life in the countryside and learning about farming! 🚜![]()

The children had the chance to see cows and their calves up close and discover how the farm produces its own meat. They also met a variety of sheep, and as it is lambing season, they were lucky enough to witness a lamb being born, as well as see many young lambs with their mothers - an unforgettable experience for everyone involved! ⭐️![]()

A visit to the vegetable garden gave the children insight into how the farm grows its own produce. The farmer explained how they are able to produce most of their own food, rarely needing to visit a supermarket! 🥬🌽![]()
After enjoying lunch together in the farmhouse kitchen, the children had some time to relax and explore the farm’s beautiful garden. 🪴![]()

In the afternoon, the group took part in an exciting woodland activity led by Amrita from The Country Trust. Equipped with specialist jars and magnifying glasses, the children searched for insects in their natural habitat. They also had the option to take part in a scavenger hunt, adding to the day’s fun and adventure.![]()

It was a fun-filled day in the glorious countryside, and a fantastic time was had by all!
