Our Year 3’s Roman Day whisked us back in time for a thrilling adventure into ancient history! From the moment the day began, the classroom buzzed with excitement. We got their hands messy baking traditional Roman spelt bread , discovering the simple yet powerful foods that helped fuel an empire. Budding historians then showed off their creativity by designing eye‑catching posters bursting with fascinating facts about daily Roman life.
The grand finale was another exciting opportunity: we crafted our own mighty Roman shields and took to the playground, marching in formation like a fearsome legion. Laughter, learning and lots of imagination filled the air as we truly stepped into Roman sandals.
It was an unforgettable day of discovery that brought the power and spirit of Rome vividly to life!
